DMG-Mori File Share – UNC_Intermediate

CNC Parameters:

You will need to verify all parameters listed below that correspond to your CNC control.  These parameters may not match your particular machine’s control.  Document (Phone camera) original settings before making modifications!

 

 

Items needed from IT Dept before starting:

Static IP information for Mori machine.

Static IP address of Server where shared folder will be located.

Shared folder name located on server, username and password

 

 

On Mori Control:

Change setting 61 to enable MAPPS PARAMETER WRITE to VALID

Press System

Press < softkey

Press MAPPS Param softkey

Cursor to 1340, press 1, press input.

Press SET softkey.

Change setting 61 to enable MAPPS PARAMETER WRITE to INVALID

 

Press SYSTEM button,

Press COMM SETing softkey

Press 1 for IP address information

 

Enter IP Address info.  (Supplied by IT Dept)

ENABLE FILE SHARING VALID

Press return softkey.

 

Press 4 (network I/O SETing)

Select Network Drive softkey.

Network drive function VALID

Enter IP Address of shared folder location: (IP Address of server)

Enter shared folder name. (Shared folder location on server)

Enter domain\username.  (Supplied by IT Dept)

Enter password.  (Supplied by IT Dept)

Press set or return.

 

Change the communication parameters after setting the network drive function.

Press function key [SETTING] and input “64”.  The “Communication parameters” screen is displayed.

Select [NETWORK] and press F9 key [SET].

Next push F6 key [EXECUTE] and it is completed.

 

Example: If folder where temp files are located: \\192.168.0.242\Mori1

then the Computer name/IP Address would be 192.168.0.242

The shared folder name would be Mori1

Domain\Username:  FactoryWiz\DNC   Password: 1234


FactoryWiz DNC Settings:

 Basic Communication

1.01- Port Type: UNC_Intermediate

1.05- UNC Path to Device:  \\192.168.10.242\Mori1 (from example above)

1.07- UNC path Username: FactoryWiz\DNC (from example above)

1.08- UNC path password: 1234 (from example above)

1.21- End of block (EOB): LF

 

Sending Options

2.01- Send Directories: Folders to be searched (allowed) when queuing or requesting files.

2.02- Search Subdirectories: True/False choice

2.03- Send Extensions: File extensions that should be displayed / searched when adding files to queue.

2.71- UNC target folder flush interval: 1 (value in hours)

 

Receiving Options

3.01- Receive Directories:  Folder where received files from this machine will be stored.

3.16- Auto rename type: when receiving file that exists already, overwrite, rename to .bak, or employ version numbering.

 

 

 

Remote Commands

4.02- Request for file command: GET-

4.04- Prefix to assume for requested files: Prefix will be appended to the beginning of the file name for all requested files.

4.05- Suffix to assume for requested files: Suffix will be appended to the end of the file name for all requested files.

4.33- Remote request file path/name: Filename used to perform file request when placed in UNC_Intermediate folder.

 

 

 

Additional Notes:

Outputting CNC Programs:

At machine:

Press PROG button.

Press PROG LIST softkey.

Press PUNCH/READ softkey.

Press PUNCH softkey.

Cursor to program to be saved, press EXECUTE softkey.

 

Inputting CNC Programs:

Send files to machine:

Select machine.

Select Send File.

Select file to be sent, click on Send File (ONCE)

File will be placed in temp folder for 1 hour.

 

At machine:

Press PROG button.

Press PROG LIST softkey.

Press PUNCH/READ softkey.

Press READ softkey.

Cursor to file that you want transferred, then click on EXECUTE softkey.

 

** If any data after % at end of program, machine will error with message: program already registered.

** It will still load the original program but will try and load another program in its place.
